Travel Support for Students

To enable more students to attend the Symposium, support is available to help cover the expenses for US-based students and 2-3 students from international institutions.

Both undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply for travel grants.

The amount of support provided to US students will be $850 or the actual documented amount of expenses, whichever is less. The amount of support for international students will be $1200 or the actual documented amount of expenses, whichever is less.

An application for a travel award will consist of the student's resume, a statement from the student, and a letter from the student's research advisor. The student's statement should include a summary of your research interests, why you think you will benefit from participating in the symposium, and how you will contribute to the symposium.

Applications are due by Friday, April 2 and recipients will be notified by Friday, April 9 in order to be eligible for early registration which closes April 18.
